“Pray, pray very much, and make sacrifices for sinners; for many souls go to hell, because there are none to sacrifice themselves and pray for them.”

Our Blessed Mother made this impassioned plea to all of us in 1917 when she appeared in Fatima. How much more urgent the need for prayer and sacrifice is now after a century of spiritual and moral decline! We can each choose to be the one who will pray and sacrifice for the salvation of souls.

Mary told us exactly what we need to do. All we need to do is what she asked and to help others to do the same.

“If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace.”

“Say the Rosary every day, to bring peace to the world and the end of the war.”

Throughout the apparitions at Fatima, Mary repeatedly asked for the rosary to be prayed daily. When prayed with devotion, the rosary brings us into the hearts of Jesus and Mary. St. John Paul II wrote that to recite the rosary “is to contemplate the Face of Christ in union with, and at the school of, His Most Holy Mother...Against the background of the words of the Ave Maria the principal events of the life of Jesus Christ pass before the eyes of the soul.” (Rosarium Virginus Mariae)
